To make transport arrangements a little easier; we are providing a bus service as follows:
Chippenham (Premier Inn)[show on map] to Malmesbury (Long Stay car park at foot of Abbey Steps) [show on map] to St. Mary’s Church, Cricklade and returning to Malmesbury (Abbey House Gardens) after the wedding service for the Reception. Timings to be confirmed closer to the date. Please note: we are not running a bus service after the reception and it will be your responsibility to book taxis or arrange transport back to your accommodation if necessary.

For those arriving by car, there is unfortunately limited parking in Cricklade and no parking at the reception venue itself. However, if you choose to arrive by car then there are parking spaces on Cricklade Highstreet. For the reception there is a long stay car park nearby, (directions below).
From this car park walk towards the Abbey, following the signs to The Abbey House Gardens. It is a 3 minute walk up approximately 65 steps, so for those who need to walk a short distance on the level please drop off at the Market Cross (pictured right, directions below). To get to The Abbey House Gardens from the Market Cross, head along the road beside 'The Whole Hog' Pub.

Leave the M4 at Junction 17 and head North on the A429 to Malmesbury. As you enter Malmesbury, turn left at the first roundabout signposted to town centre (please ignore the brown signs to Abbey House gardens, these are intended for coaches). At the top of the High Street you will see the Market Cross (pictured right). Turn left and follow the road past the Abbey to the War Memorial (pictured right). Turn right here and head down the hill, straight across the mini roundabout then turn right at the next roundabout, signposted to the long stay car park. |

Leave the M5 at Junction 11a, following signs to Cirencester on the A417. Leave the A417 at Burford Road Junction, joining the A429 to Cirencester. Upon entering Cirencester follow signs for Chippenham A429, which will lead you to Malmesbury.
As you enter Malmesbury turn right at the first roundabout next to the water tower, signposted to town centre. Follow this road past the short stay car park and turn right onto the High Street. At the top of the High Street you will see the Market Cross (pictured right). Turn left and follow the road past the Abbey to the War Memorial (pictured right). Turn right here and head down the hill, straight across the mini roundabout then turn right at the next roundabout, signposted to the long stay car park. |

The closest stations to Malmesbury are Kemble (15 minutes to the north) and Chippenham (20 minutes to the south). To find train times click [here]
Both are fairly small stations so please remember to book a taxi in advance. |
